Ticket transfer process
The University of Michigan has a detailed process for transferring tickets to basketball games. Firstly, tickets can only be transferred through your online account; this is to ensure that the university can provide the best game-day experience for those using the tickets. The recipient of the tickets must have a Michigan Ticket Account. If they do not, they will be able to create one during the transfer process.
To transfer your tickets, first locate the "Wallet" app on your phone and open it. Your downloaded tickets will appear here. Next, click the "Ticket" icon in the bottom navigation tray, then click "Manage Tickets". Log in with your Michigan Athletics Ticket account information, using the same email and password as when logging in to your ticket account on MGoBlue.com.
On your main account screen, select "Transfer Tickets", then choose the game and tickets you wish to transfer before selecting "Continue". Once you have transferred your tickets and they have been accepted, you will no longer have access to them. Your barcodes are voided, and new barcodes are sent to the recipient. They can then download the tickets to their mobile wallet and have them scanned on game day.
It is important to download your tickets in advance, as there is limited cellular coverage near Michigan Athletic events. Once downloaded, you do not need cellular service to access or scan them. Do not print out your digital ticket, as these will not be accepted at the gate.
