The Alabama–Huntsville Chargers (also UAH Chargers) are the athletic teams representing the University of Alabama in Huntsville in intercollegiate sports. In 1973, UAH elevated its men's basketball team to varsity status, along with crew and men's soccer. The university then became a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
