Robert "Bobby" Hurley is an American college basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils, a position he has held since 2015. Hurley was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on June 28, 1971, to Bob Hurley Sr. and Christine Hurley. He has two siblings, a younger brother, Dan, and a sister, Melissa.
Hurley comes from a family of basketball players and coaches. His father, Bob Sr., is a highly acclaimed high school basketball coach, inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. His brother, Dan, is also a basketball coach, and the two have worked together at Wagner College and the University of Rhode Island. Hurley himself played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils, where he was a first-team All-America and won back-to-back national championships in 1991 and 1992.
