Coach King Rice
Monmouth University's basketball team, the Hawks, competes in Division I of the NCAA's Coastal Athletic Association. The team's current head coach is King David Rice, a former basketball player and native of Binghamton, New York.
Rice attended Binghamton High School from 1983 to 1987, where he played as a point guard and led the basketball team to its only two New York State Championships in 1984–85 and 1985–86.
