Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is a popular boating destination. Wahweap Ramp
The Wahweap Main Launch Ramp is located next to the Lake Powell Resort at Wahweap, at the end of Wahweap Blvd. The ramp is open to all motorized vessels, but closed to paddlecraft, which should use Stateline Main or Antelope Point Public launch ramps instead. The ramp is long and changes when the lake level changes—at 3,593 feet and rising at the time of writing. The Wahweap Ramp is large enough for multiple boats, including houseboats, to launch at the same time. However, this means that there will be a long walk back down the ramp after parking your boat trailer.
The Wahweap Ramp has a wide range of amenities, including:
- Fuel (unleaded)
- A fuel dock and pumpout station just downstream of the ramp
- A turnoff mid-ramp that leads to parking for the private marina
- 14-day parking at the top of the ramp
- An information kiosk/bulletin board
- Drinking water
- Restrooms, including accessible options
- Sewage and trash dumpsters
- Recycling
- Parking for autos, boat trailers, and buses/RVs
The Wahweap Marina is the largest marina on Lake Powell and is open year-round. It is located just south of the Arizona state border at the most southwestern point on Lake Powell. It offers a wide range of services for boat owners and their guests, including fuel, slips, buoys, boat rentals, tours, repairs, and dry storage. There is also a variety of restaurants, laundry facilities, showers, a campground, swimming pools, and lodging with 350 rooms. The marina is 5.5 miles (8.9 km) from the Glen Canyon Dam along Lakeshore Drive and is operated by Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas (LPRM).

Stateline Ramp
The Stateline Ramp is located in the Wahweap District of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the highest visitation area of Lake Powell. It is accessed via Highway 89 near Page, Arizona.
The Stateline Auxiliary Launch Ramp, located after a turnoff from the Stateline Ramp near the former Wahweap Swim Beach, is open for the launch and retrieval of motorized vessels daily. It was rehabilitated by the National Park Service, in partnership with Aramark, to provide access to the southern parts of Lake Powell during low water conditions. The ramp is constructed from concrete, with a slope of around 8.5%, which is a little less steep than a typical slope of 10%, and still acceptable for boat launching.
The Stateline Auxiliary Ramp is accessed from the spur road on the right of the Wahweap Stateline Main Ramp. Boaters are asked to prepare their boats in the Stateline Main Ramp parking lot before accessing the auxiliary ramp. Boat launch and retrieval will only occur on installed boiler plate materials, and the usable area will be marked.
All boats exiting Lake Powell must follow decontamination protocols to keep quagga mussels and other aquatic invasive species out of other bodies of water.

Antelope Point Ramp
The Antelope Point Launch Ramp is located near the Antelope Point Marina, which is approximately 5 miles (8 km) uplake from Glen Canyon Dam on the main channel. The land access to the marina is from Highway 98. The Antelope Point Ramp is a great spot to launch your runabout or kayak. It is large enough for multiple vessels to launch at the same time. The ramp is long and changes when the lake level changes, so be prepared for a long walk back down the ramp after you park your vessel trailer. Courtesy docks have a 30-minute time limit.
Due to low water levels, the ramp is only available for non-motorized paddlecraft hand launching. The ramp may also close for winter. All vessels exiting Lake Powell must follow decontamination protocols to keep quagga mussels and other aquatic invasive species out of other bodies of water.
Antelope Point Marina offers stunning scenery and easy access for boats of all sizes. It is conveniently located uplake, providing quick access to beautiful, secluded spots. It is ideal for boating, fishing, or relaxing, and it is a premier destination. The marina features a public launch ramp, a day-use area, and a dump station. Antelope Point Holdings, one of the park concessioners, provides boat rental, valet launching, slip rental, boat repair, boat pumpout, a restaurant, snack bar, and a small convenience store.
The Antelope Point Public Ramp is currently open to paddlecraft only. Planning and design are in the works for a construction project that would extend this ramp to enable public water access for a variety of user groups. The contractor will finalize this work into a report for the park to move the project to schematic design next. The park received FY 23 disaster supplemental funding for this project, which will cover the design and construction of this project.

The National Park Service provides a launch ramp, portable toilet dump station, free boat pump-out station, picnic area, fish-cleaning station, and paved landing strip for aircraft. Halls Crossing Ramp
The Halls Crossing launch ramp is the lone motorized launch point in San Juan County. It was closed in July 2021 due to low lake levels, but reopened in June 2023 after an historic winter brought in enough spring runoff to raise the lake level. The ramp is usable down to a surface elevation of 3,550 feet (or 3,556 feet, according to the National Parks Service estimate), so it should be safe even during extended dry periods.
The marina offers a range of visitor services, including a campground with family units, a boat ramp comfort station, a grocery store, laundry, showers, a service station, and boat repair. There is also a campground and an RV site nearby. A courtesy dock is available at the ramp, with a thirty-minute time limit. Fuel docks and a pumpout station are located just upstream of the ramp, and 14-day parking is available at the top of the ramp.
All boats exiting Lake Powell must follow decontamination protocols to prevent the spread of quagga mussels and other aquatic invasive species. Be sure to check your home state's regulations, and always clean, drain, and dry your vessel and gear. It is recommended that you check ramp conditions before you arrive via the Low Water Webpage.
