FDU Knights: the men's basketball team
The Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights, or FDU Knights, is the men's basketball team of Fairleigh Dickinson University. The team first took to the court on December 5, 1949, and has since built a legacy based on integrity, pride, resilience, respect, and unity. In 2023, the Knights made history by defeating the No.1 seed, Purdue University, in the first round of the NCAA tournament, considered the greatest upset in college basketball. That same year, assistant coach Jack Castleberry was promoted to head coach, and the Knights signed a multi-game broadcast agreement with the YES Network, airing eight games live during the 2023-24 season.
